I have no poetic mysterious statement about my conflicted nature. I draw and paint. I see this more akin to practicing kung fu than any expressionistic "inspired" mystic nonsense. I think in terms of rational decisions, directions and forms. I see it as the result of years of discipline and time spent developing observational skills, rather than any emotive spiritual source.
I enjoy the more subversive and dark elements in my art, but I'm trying to veer awayt from that as it's unintentionally infecting work that isn't meant to be either subversive or dark. currently I'm trying to focus on representational naturalistic work. primarily portraiture.
